Tiling and Slating is a key service for any roofing contractor. When you think of a roof you tend to think of tiles! Most pitched roofs in the UK use tiles or slates in some form or another as a covering. Perhaps unsurprisingly therefore we have extensive experience working with both tiles and slates on heritage and more modern properties across London.

Tiled roofs vary from those clad with original clay Pantiles to more modern clay or concrete tiles. Tiles can be tricky to work with and it is important that strict guidelines are followed when repairing, building or replacing tiled roofs (especially those on heritage roofs) to ensure your roof is weather-tight.

Slate roofs present their own unique challenges. However, a properly slated roof can last for upwards of 100 years making it a highly durable and attractive roofing material. More often than not it is the roof timbers themselves which fail before slates do.
